thanx for the comment...I went thru hell and back trying to make him understand before surgery that I was doing it for my health and not for vanity reasons...i thought he finally understood....maybe not

I have been married for more than 30 years to the same fella and I was always somewhere between very heavy in highschool to downright obese. I'm lucky that he doesn't have insecurities about our relationship... and we have talked about it. To be honest, I really don't have any other guys paying me any more attention now, than when I was obese. Even if others were paying attention though, I'm sure I'm like you... because I'm just not interested in anyone else. He has been with me through thick and thin... quite literally... and there's nothing more attractive than that!

I'm with Iris... see about cross posting this discussion to the RNY and maybe Main boards. By casting a wider net you are likely to find others that have had this issue.
