Flatout Wraps
Anyone use these? I bought some at WalMart Friday night. Yesterday I put some roast beef, mustard, and dill pickle spear on, rolled it up and ate about half. Could've probably eaten more but was scared it would be over. They have 9g of protein for one wrap so I had 4.5 grams plus whatever the roast beef was. Should I be staying away from these?
I don't use the wraps but I have used a small soft flour tortilla shell. But like you I am not sure if I should be. Sure does make eating a little better.

If it works for you and it dosent get stuck then I say more power to you.
Personally wraps and flatbread scares me to death.
Why I am not sure.
Sandwich bread and I have been doing great keeping in mind most times I can only eat half of a sandwich and many times only a quarter of a sandwich.
This weekend sandwich bread was not working to well.

Yesterday at WalMart I bough La Banderita Low Carb Low Fat Soft Taco. They have 5g. of net carbs, 2g. of fat, 5 g. of protein, 81 Calories, and 0 g. of sugar. I used them last night to make a tortilla pizza and also used one to make a ham, cheese, lettuce, and mayo wrap for lunch today. I only ate 1/4 of one last night and will probaby only eat 1/4 of my wrap today. I had used the Flatout a few years ago (long before I had surgery) while I was doing Atkins. I don't remember all the nutritional info. The La Banderita's aren't the big taco shells, but their not the little tiny ones either. They're in between. I realize it doesn't have a lot of protein, but I figure it's got to be a better alternative to bread.
I use the flat breads to make pizzas. Love, love, love them that way. I've never been much for sandwiches so can't help you there.
For the pizza all we do is tkae a flat bread, put sugar free marinara sauce on top, then load up turkey pepperoni, cheese and anyother pizza toppings that we have on had. Put it in the oven (or toaster oven @ work) coo****il the cheese is bubbly. mmmmm....mmmmm....mmmmmm
I think I might have one for lunch today. thanks for the idea.

I use the flat bread for pizza and I use Mission Low Carb tacos for wraps. My favorite is a little low fat garden flavor cream cheese with sliced chicken breast from the deli rolled up. I roll these wrap them in saran over night. I then slice them into 1-2 inch sections and throw away the ends. One of these makes two lunch type meals for me. As long as I eat slow I have not had a problem with these. My nutritionist introduced these to me at a seminar she gave on low carb foods.
