Hi everyone!.
I got home from the hospital late last night. The surgery went well. I had swelling in my pouch afterwards, so was a little delayed getting out of the hospital. I did everything they said I needed to do to go home, and I am home and happy today. I had the surgery on 3/17, and have lost 9 pounds so far. Pretty cool!! I am doing ok with my fluids, but still having trouble getting in more than 4 ounces an hour at day 4 post op. Every day is better, and I really have no pain.
I wish I can say I don't think about eating, but I'm sure time will help with that.
Anyway, thank you to all of you than reached out and offered your support. It meant more than you'll ever know. I hope to meet you all at the next Raleigh weight loss group meeting.
Hugs,
Vini

Thanks Connie.
Did you get my message about the length of time the whole process takes? I am still trying to learn how to navigate this site.

Hey Vini,

I'm glad to hear that you are doing well. I was at the hospital on the 17th and checked on you, but you were still in recovery when I was there, so I didn't get a chance to stop in to see you.

Just keep sipping constantly. It takes work to get it all in, but you can do it. It will get better with time... Day by day. Sooooo. Sip, Sip, Sip and Walk, Walk, Walk. You'll get through those three weeks sooner than you might think.

Welcome to the loser's bench!

Hi Barb,
Thanks for the words of encouragement. It's true, I do feel better every day.

I did stay ion recovery a long time, and I don't know why. I think I was there 2 1/2 hours. I don't remember a lot about that day, which is probably a good thing!

Looking forward to April's meet up group. I'll be there!
