I just have to laugh

I was replying to Annies post about feeling old and young and it brought me back to thinking about one part of my appt. with my surgeon yesterday that made me laugh.  She went to show me where I will have my 5 incisions, but then said she just had to see my scar from an exploratory surgery in which they took out my appendix when I was a teen.  She looks at it and rubs on it and can't help but shake her head and repeatedly say "we don't do this anymore, I can't believe this".  I could only laugh as I told her that  25+ years ago things were definitely done differently.  Yup, I feel old in some ways, but I don't care.  I am almost 42 and happen to like my life and enjoy this age.  I may have an "old" scar, but I am going to have a new kind of a birthday in just 5 more days!!!

I will be turning 42 on April 25 and I have to say that the older I get, the better I feel!!!  How weird is that, huh???  LOL!!!  I think it is because we tend to appreciate the small things in life the older we get.  My life has never been better than it is right now and I'm enjoying each and every day!!

You may have hit on something when you replied to my earlier post about the age thing and wls.
WLS maybe in the future will also be defined as the fountian(sp)  of youth.
Can you belive I was looking at clothes in the junor secton today at Target OMG
I did not buy anything in that section but I was looking OMG uncharted territory.
