Does this even make sense?

I'm so confused...my weightloss has slowed to about 4 lbs. her month now...I'm at 152 now...but I've picked up my eating...It seems like the more I eat the more I lose!  I lost 3 just over the weekend...Does this even make sense that eating more would make you lose weight faster.  I feel like I'm overeating or something.  Tonight I ate a lean 4-5 oz. hamburger on a plate with a slice of cheese...yesterday I ate a 1/2 of a roastbeef sandwich on a slice of bread...Does that seem like a lot for being 8months out?

Hi,

The nurse at my Drs. practice told me that after my pouch healed I would be able to eat 1/2 cup at each sitting, which I can at 4 months.  By one year post up, I should be able to eat 1 1/2 cups at a serving.  So based on that information, I do not thing you are on target..  I have read on here of some people who can heal half of a subway sub.

Blessings, Tami

Hi Michelle,

I think that you are doing just fine. I generally eat a serving about the size of a lean cuisine, sometimes a bit more or less, but I think that you are about on track.

Hi Michele,
This is a good post and I am glad to see you put it out there.
I was in starvation mode last month and was not aware I was until the scales just stopped.
I was only getting in 65 calories a day going by what I was eatting versus what I was burning.
I am trying hard to get in more calories but my go**** is hard to do.
Generally I can eat about 6-8 ounces but 8 is pushing it for me.

I agree with Barbara--I am 6 months out and can eat a small lean cruisine for lunch-1/2 of a jersey mike's mini-I think you are on the right track-sometimes I do feel like you-thinking I am eating more then I should-but the key is to eat slowly and listen to your body.  I think you are doing great!!  Keep up the good work!!

Your body is a machine... just like a car needs fuel to run properly your body does as well. So yes eating more can cause you to lose weight... your body needs a minimum to run properly... give it too little and it doesnt, give it too much and you gain weight.
At 8 months out my meal volume was to be approx 1 cup. I was told for my surgeon the average meal volume over time would be approx 1.5 cups per meal. Keep in mind the density and texture of food will effect how much you can eat.
