OT: Did you watch tyra today?

Hi everyone. OMGoodness, I am watching the tyra show and I had to come on here and vent. How can this woman on there who is a little over 500 pounds WANT to be 1,000 pounds? I mean, I weigh over 400 pounds and I struggle so much, I can not imagine wanting to gain weight. Now don't get me wrong, some people want to be bigger and that is fine if that is what that person wants to do but I am just giving my honest opinion. To me this woman is slowly killing herself. I thank the lord everyday that I found out about the gastric bypass surgery. I can almost see myself in her because I love to eat but I am really trying to cut back a lot. I just hope this woman takes a look at the tape and sees herself and knows she can do better. She needs to lose weight because if she doesn't she is going to die.
Now tell me how weird this is everyone. I am sitting here watching the show and I get a phone call from my surgeon's (Dr. Mann) office. The woman that I talked to told me that if she can get approved back from medicaid soon enough, I can have my surgery either the 31st of THIS MONTH or next month. I am going OMGoodness. Is this really happening. When I got off the phone I did a happy dance and my husband sat there and looked at me like I was crazy but after I told him about what she said, he did a happy dance too..lol. So I am soooooo keeping my fingers crossed that my medicaid goes on through and they approve me. I am so happy right now. Thanks everyone for reading this long bittersweet post. Take care!!!

Thank goodness I don****ch TV much I would be cussing at the Trya show the whole time.
Please let me know when you get approved I am soooo happy for you.
Tomorrow is my big day at work I am going to get a picture of me in my new dress code.
It was great to be able to get a pair of pants at Dollar General for 10 dollars.

I too can not believe that someone would want to be 1000 pounds.  What a miserable life that would be. 
I do hope you will get your date soon.  My best friend was almost 400 pounds and only 5'tall when she had her surgury.  She went for her 9 month check up yesterday and has lost 119 pounds.  I am so proud of her.  I was 262 pounds when I had my surgury in August of 2007.  I am now 143.  I weigh less now than I did when I was in high school.  I feel so wonderful and this surgury has put new meaning to my life.  I thank God everyday for providing me with this opportunity.  I wish you all the best and please let us all know when you get your date.
