Long time no see!

Hi everyone! I am not even sure if many will know or remember me (I see so many new faces!) but I wanted to stop by and say hi to everyone! I haven't been to the board for a long time...mainly because I was extremely frustrated with myself and my lack of weight loss & I was having a pity party for myself. My husband had also deployed and I was overwhelmed with buying a new house, running a business and taking care of our son & managing his activities. Didn't leave time for much of anything, unfortunately. He returned on September 11th and was home for approximately 5 months and deployed again 2 weeks ago, so we're starting all over again. Joy joy. lol

I'm happy to say that I've lost 114 lbs to date and am feeling so great! I will admit to going a bit overboard in the shopping department over the last month or so...but what a great reason to buy new clothes...my old ones don't fit and are too big!   AND they actually look semi-cute when I put them on! haha

I just wanted to give a small update and try to connect with some of my Jacksonville buddies again. I added a couple of pictures to my album, but have to wait for my computer to get here to add more recents...I don't have anything saved on my son's computer. Anyway, just wanted to say hi and see how you've all been! Take care!!

Hey Amy!  Sure I remember you, you're my surgery sis! I figured you were doing "your thing" but would pop in when you could. I bet you have had a blast shopping and look cute as heck! 114 lbs , woo hoo girl! I still go to Ronda,,,,,,,,btw, thanks for that hookup! She's evidently helping open the new store by the new wal mart. I like her lots! Anyway, hope to see you  soon, you've done great, but don't see that century card.????????!!!

Hi Amy:

You look fabulous! However, I might not have recognized that brunette if I hadn't known who I was looking at! You look great! It seems a lot of us old timers are struggling trying to maintain and not let all the bad habits creep back in. So, don't feel alone! Take care and know we are here for ya!

Hi Nancy & Lisa!

Great to "see" you both!!

Nancy, we live way too close to never see each other! LOL I think that there should be a rule that if you're within walking distance of someone, you HAVE to see them every so many weeks. haha How are you doing girlfriend!? Can you believe we are approaching our 2 year surgery anniversaries!?  So glad to hear you're loving Ronda. She is so awesome. I just went a couple of weeks ago. Are you still going to the gym? I still have my membership, but now I just need a giant kick in the rear to actually GET me there.   Do you have lunchtimes free? Maybe we can have lunch sometime if you do!!

Lisa, wow wow wow. Girl, you are teeny tiny!!! What are you wearing, a 4??? Fantastic. It's hard to believe we're the same friends who met in a Fayetteville hospital after my surgery! It's unreal how quickly the time has flown by!  I'm sorry to hear about any issues with maintenance! I know how frustrating it is when the scale isn't moving! I had a period of over 6 months where I did not lose or gain a single pound. I finally resolved myself to the fact that I was going to weigh 181 lbs, and that I was "ok" with it since I'd lost over 80 lbs and was much healthier. I can't take the credit for most of the additional weight loss after that point, as I was diagnosed and started taking medication for adult ADD, but evidently that was the kick-start my body needed to continue the weight loss. I'm just so thankful that I'm able to go outside and play with my son for more than a few minutes without losing my breath, ya know.

How amazing to come back after so many months and see su*****redible transformations. You guys rawk.

Hi Amy,

It's great to see you again and you look just fabulous ... Your family is just beautiful and so are you. I'm glad to hear that things are going well for you and that you have lost the excess weight that you wanted to lose.

I hope you'll pop in again now and then.

Warmly,

Hey Barb, Jami & Darcie!

Barb, you are looking as beautiful as ever! I'm so impressed with your ability to put yourself out there and allow everyone to see that we are all vulnerable! You can bet there are people out there who are going through exactly what you're going through, but did not post about it. I think it's great for people to see all aspects of this journey and the life changes that take place. You're awesome! Thank you for the kind words too.

Jami!! OMG girlfriend! I am sooooooooo unbelievably proud of you!! I see by your ticker you've lost almost 165 lbs!!! That is just amazing.   You're right about myspace...I got swamped with work over the holidays when my computer crapped out on me, so I could not check in there very often. I ended up having to buy a new computer, so it's given me a bit of "down" time to sort of relax a bit. I've decided not to take on many clients while my husband is gone this time. I overextended myself last deployment and I am not going to do that again...that was definitely the most stressed I've ever been in my life and I was bordering on a breakdown!   Congratulations on the pregnancy!  OOPS!!  haha  That's too funny. I wish you the best. Take care of yourself!!! We do need to meet up sometime! It's not really that far, it's just making the time that I seem to be so horrible at!  Gosh, you look absolutely radiant. I'm so happy for you...for the incredible weight loss and for the pregnancy. You need to call me when you're ready for maternity photos & after the baby is born...that can be my gift to you (if you would like!) I think you should show off your hard work!!! Just let me know.

Darcie! Wow wow wow!!!! Hubba hubba girl! You are like in smokin hot mode now!!    LOVE the photo in your profile in the red suit! Wow!!! Amazing! You are just an itty bitty thing now!!! I know we are the same height...what size are you into now?? You look like you're a 4 or even smaller! Just phenomenal! Even when I weighed 120 lbs, the smallest I've ever been was a 6. LOL I need to stop doing that to myself! *smack*  Your husband must have been dying when he saw you!  LOL I'm glad to hear he's back! My husband was home for such a short time, it's almost like he was home for a vacation and then left again. We're hoping he will not have to leave again as soon once he gets back, but they have already told him he's changing units AGAIN. There is a possibility he could deploy again soon after returning. Trying not to think about that tho!  Do you have any idea where you might be going for recruiting duty? I have several friends who are doing the same right now and a couple who have just come off of it. Let me know if you have any questions and I can ask them for you! I really want to try to make it to the next get-together you guys have. My son is playing baseball again this year, and as long as you guys meet up any evening other than Tuesday & Friday, I should be able to make it!
