7 Months

Yesterday made 7 months since surgery and I am Loving Life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm down 90 lbs and that my friends is a wonderful thing. I'm in a size 16 (from a 26).

The weather was absolutely gorgeous this weekend so I didn't stay inside at all. My energy level is FANTASTIC!!!!!! Saturday I had a chance to go for a nice long walk at the park near david's house and then later we went for a bike ride. I did something yesterday that I've never done before - I went sailing. David loves to sail and that's something that attracted me to him. I've always loved the water but my adventures have always included motors (ha ha ha). But what the heck - I'll try anything at least once. It was awesome. I'm hooked. So quiet. We stayed close to shore for a while then went further out and got more wind and went much, much faster. Oh it was great.

He asked me if I was wet from the spray. And at the time he asked I wasn't - Whoops!!!! A wave over the bow and my butt wa SOAKED. too funny. Next time there will be pictures - I promise.

I hope everyone had a great taste of springtime this weekend. It was so nice to get outside - I felt like for the first time in years and years that I was really living. What a great feeling.

Thanks for reminding me how much fun sailing can be. I haven't gone in maybe 35 - 40 years since I was a kid but I think I might find a way to do it this summer if I can. I am so glad you had fun.
