None of the grocery stores in my area sell greek yogurt. I'm sure I could probably get it in a bigger city, but I hate to make the drive without the certainty of knowing exactly where to get it. My question is is there anyone in the Goldsboro or Fayetteville or Raleigh area who can tell me where I can get the greek yogurt? We are about an hour drive from each of those cities. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Ask your local grocers if they can get it. Often then can. In the mean time, you can use some plain yogurt, and put it into some cheese cloth in a strainer to remove some of the liquid. This will give you a very close approximation.

I get mine at Harris Teeter.  I also saw some at Sam's club today, but it was higher in carbs.

If you have a Food Lion - check in the organic section. It's not with the regular yogurt. Love the stuff. Super Walmarts have the Oikos that's good too. Good Luck with your search.

The Fresh Market carries Fage Greek Yogurt.

Of course, if you make the trip to Raleigh there is an authentic Greek/Mediterranean cafe/market/bakery called Neomondes. It is off of Hillsborough Street on Beryl Ave across from Meredith College.  They have the Greek Yogurt and MANY other authentic things.  Plan to have lunch while you are there.  By far the best Tabouli, lintels and rice, fatoush, hummus, and Mediterranean tuna salad I have ever had.  Very healthy and WLS friendly place!  Check them out!

Thanks ladies for all of the great info. I think I'm headed to Raleigh this Thursday evening, so I will definitely try the locations you mentioned. Now I have another question. Now that I know where to find the greek yogurt, is there anything else I should be careful to take note of? What I mean is should I be looking for something that says sugar free or fat free or is all greek yogurt already sugar free and fat free. Sorry for the silly question. I just want to make sure I get the correct thing. What exactly should I be looking for as far as carb count, etc? Thanks again.
