I meant proteins in general, which burn off a lot slower than carbs (sugars, starches).  I might snack on hard-boiled eggs, cottage cheese, fage yogurt, cheeses, in addition to protein shakes and bars and meats and fish.  (Your photo is so familiar... do I know you from another forum?  Are you on Lightweights?)
