ALREADY?? Time flies, when your feelin' fine
I cannot even believe it has been a year...WOW and what a year it has been!!! I have had an amazing experience, with no complications related to the surgery!!
At 9 months I kind of hit a speed bump as most of you know, and got the news that I was pregnant!! Well today I am 15 weeks pregnant and baby is growing fine!! I have had a few complications the past 3 weeks, with going to the ER...with extreme bleeding and it ended up being a tear in my placenta. Last Sunday I found myself in the ER again and actually got admitted into the hospital for a few days due to extreme stomach cramping that wouldn't ease for 4 days, ultrasound showed it was my lovely gallbladder, of which I have had problems with before, but this pain was entirely different. But with a few days of detox on a liquid diet, I got sent home Tues. evening and feel so much better!!!
ON a happy happy note, I stepped on the scale yesterday and my eyes could not believe what they saw ~ 198.2 lbs. I have been lingering in the very low 200's for a few months and just knew that my dream of seing 199 would not be possible, being pregnant, but yes sireeeee, I made it to ONDERLAND and could not be more thrilled!! Despite being pregnant I have still lost 15 lbs. in the past 3 months, which is fine with me :) I have come a long, long way from 362 lbs!!!!
So in about 13 months, from my highest weight I have lost 164 lbs....WOAHHHH!!! I feel like a new woman!! Tomorrow I see my surgeon for my one year post op and get to face the fear that I have been having, to tell him I am pregnant *GULP* I have been reassured by his nurse that everything will be fine!!! And he should not be too harsh on me..LOL
I have experienced more WOW moments than imaginable, got a compliment from my dietician the other day that out of all her GBP patients my food journal was perfect and exactly on target!! She said I obviously am not afraid to eat, and NO I am not, my life did not end after having this surgery, I just learned more discipline and figured out how to eat, what I want, within moderation and the results show!!!
So yeah, I could turn this into a book, but I will spare y'all the boredom...LOL and just say that I am sooooo very proud of myself of how far I have come in a year and just want to let everyone thinking about this surgery or having doubts that "You can do it" The best thing to have in line is a support system, and that can be found right here on OH and I do want to thank my J-ville girls, I could NOT have done it without you ladies!!!! *Darcie, Andrea, Nanc, Sheryl* I love you gals :) and thank you for all you have done to encourage me along the way!! Also thank you to all of you that I have met along the way that have become a part of my life :) A girl could not ask for better friends!!!
I will post some pics soon, although of course they will not do me any justice due to the lovely baby bump!! LOL But hey, what do ya do!!?
WOOOO HOOOO It's my Surgiversary!!!!!!!

Hi Jami,
Congratulations on your 1 yr surgiversary and what a gift you gave yourself... Welcome to ONDERLAND!!! I'm sure that during the pregnancy, you'll move out again, but right back after that sweet little bundle arrives. You have come a long way baby!
Wishing you continued success in all that you do.
