New picture

Check my profile. I uploaded a picture of me a couple of weeks after the surgery. I still have the binder and drains in this photo. So I do not look all that small. But look I do have legs and I do not have to hide my basket ball with extra long shirts. I am still pleased with my outcome. I went back to work yesterday even with a drain in. I also still wear the binder. It will give me extra support since I lift a lot in my job.  I would still like to loose 15 to 20 more pounds. My DH  and surgen think I am at goal. But my goal is still 150 and I am 172. I still have a lot of loose skin but I doubt I will have it removed. I hate being put to sleep and hair loss. The skin might account for some of the weight. I'm not sure how much. I do not regret wls or my hernia surgery. I would do it all again.
I do not miss the food I can't have. I pray I do not regain the weight I have lost. To the old loosers....Ain't life Grand.....To the new loosers....you will be happy soon just hang in there.  To those wanting wls.....hang in there and don't give up...it is a long process but worth the wait and agrivation.

You are looking fabulous and I know that you are feeling good too. I think that Donnie and your surgeon are probably right, having seen you in person. I think that the 'extra weight' is the 'extra skin' and that you really have arrived.

Hey Myrtis.You look great! I cant believe you still have drains in though. All mine are gone. I had 3. They took 2 out 8 days after surgery and the other one out 10 days after. It was such a relief to get rid of them. I am so happy my hernia is gone. Although everytime I sneezze I must say I look down just to make sure it didn't "pop" back out. Life is so grand after wls and hernia repair!

My surgen says my body likes to hang on to fluid. The drains came out....actually I pulled one out myself. Long story why.
They had to put one back in and it is still draining at 8 weeks out. I just stuff it in my binder and keep on going. I keep feeling around in search of a potential hernia also. I feel great!  I am glad your experience has been good.
