I had lap band surgery on 1/22.  had my first  fill on 2/24 of 3 cc's.

I am in pain under neath my right rib cage. I have also been very nauseous when I eat so I am not eating good. YUCK.

Do you think I can just stay on liquids or mushies the rest of my life. Food hurts. I am also cramping when I eat in the stomach.

It is probable the gall bladder but YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had lost 19 pounds at my first fill appointment which was almost 5 weeks.

I am so sorry you are in so much pain. I understand wanting to stay on clear liquids, I am afraid to eat.  I am afraid it will get stuck!  I got a pill stuck last week and panicked I sent myself in a panic attack and ended up with my O2 at 53 .  Maybe Dr Cox could fix it with duct tape (lol) .  All kidding aside I sure hope you feel better real soon.

oh you just made my day. I will have to tell him that one. I did not like the flora they used. It made my stomach grey.

I am going to take him markers and tell him that if he has to color my stomach I want a rainbow!!!!!

Tamara,

If you haven't called your Dr yet, please do. While I know that it's normal to have restriction issues after a fill, I don't think that the symptoms you are describing are normal.

Please let us know what your Dr says.

Tamara - I hope that you have called the office by now.  You shouldn't be hurting and it could be gall bladder, but it could be H pylori, too.

Give them a call and let us know what happens.

it is an infection that grows in the small intestine.  antibiotics take care of it, but it is painful and causes nausea.
my doc does a breathing test before surgery to check for it.  or there is blood tests that can be done, too
