It sounds like you are really struggling.  Try to concentrate on HEALTHY ways to get your energy levels up.  Like high protein, not high sugar!  You can eat 6 meals a day and still stay at a decent calorie level.

Step back, take a deep breath and recommit!

Hi Monica,
I am glad you posted on the NC boards.
I have found it is very helpful to talk about things that are bothering us.
I have also found it helps me to be accountable to myself by listing what I eat everyday.
I use sparkpeople.com to list my intake and my fitness.
Exercise used to be a dirty word to me mainly because when you are super morbidly obese like I was there is not much one can do in the form of exercise.
Fast forward to now I exercise 5 days a week and my energy level is the best it has ever been.
I have about 50lbs till I get to Onederland maybe I will get there one day.
Keep posting and you will always find someone on here that is more than willing to help you.

It is never too late to be what you might have been.?

Hi Monica,

It's not unusual and to be honest, it is generally 'expected' that you will experience about a 10 percent 'bounce back.' So I don't think that your 10 lb gain is something to be signigicantly alarmed about... My low weight was 132, my current weight is 139/141, so I'm in about the same place. I think that the issue is more behavioral. First of all, be sure that you are eating 5 to 6 times a day and leading with 2 to 4 ounces of lean protien. Follow that with complex carbs. The protien will help you heal and the complex carbs will fuel your metabolism. Ditch the sugar sodas!!! They will just spike your glucose, but won't provide any nutrient value and will put the pounds on.

I would like to suggest that you get a set of books from Dr. Judith Beck, called the Beck Diet Solution. It's about learning to think thin... Something that WE all need to do.

Wishing you all the best,

Barb
