Hi Connie,
Though I was raised in Texas and FL until I was twelve, I have always considered myself a CA girl because I lived in the SF Bay Area until about 8 years ago, so I can't say that I come by southern hospitality 'naturally'. That said, I have found this particular board to be one of the warmest, most supportive, friendly and non-judgemental forums around. I'm proud to be associated with the many members of this group and think that you will be too.
Welcome and I look forward to getting to know you better as you travel this miraculous road with us.
All the best,
Barbara

It can all be overwhelming, but I was like you in that I was tired of life passing by while I was on the sidelines. The best suggestion is to acknowledge where you've been and where you want to go. WLS is a great tool but there is a lot of changes that go along with it, but to not be in constant pain like I was with my knees and back is worth every bit of it.
Anyway, Welcome and don't be afraid to seek advice and support.
Courtney

I am a California Native stuck out here in North Carolina because of military commitments I was a active duty Marine and did four years. My hubby is still a Marine and just went over 13 years. Welcome to the board!!! I drive through Kinston on the way to my Docs office (which is your Docs office too!) In the spring and summer we often go to Grangier stadium and watch the Indians play. I am just down the road in Richlands. I just wanted to say welcome to the board and you picked a fantastic Doctor! Southern Surgical ROCKS!!
