I just stumbled across free classes that Carolinas Health Care has.... and this one struck me as very useful for pre-ops who are trying to be proactive in changing habits and post-ops who are struggling and trying to maintain....

or even non-ops who want some help in general.

 Anywho -

The first Monday of every month, a registered dietician from CHS takes folks on a tour of the grocery store (a harris teeter) to point out healthy foods (shop the perimeters!) and ways to read labels and look for good foods for your every day lifestyle.

I don't know about you guys - but since I've learned to read labels my entire family has eaten better - and not for weight loss (my kids are all thin naturally) but for health and well-being in general.

Anyway the next one is Monday march 2nd.

Here is the info:

We did this recently in Pinehurst.

I thought it would be lame. What did I need to learn at 2.5 years post op....

I had such a great time. Really learned alot and opened my eyes to some food choices I hadn't considered or didn't know existed.
