I promise you that you can get a really good workout in the water. I do all the time and I have to admit its mostly all the official working out I get. My gym has water classes and I know they have them at the Y too. I hope you are able to get the pain part of it resolved soon.

Meredith,

I'm sorry you're  in pain, it's not fun I know.  I have bursitis (sp?) in my shoulders and am going to get a cortisone shot in 10 days for the pain.  I'm not looking forward to the shot (afraid of needles!) but I'm looking forward to the pain being gone.  When I broke my leg (long ago) my doctor told me the best workout for it is to walk in a pool.  I thought he was nuts, but it really did help.  The water acts as an aid (makes you weightless) and also gives a bit of resistance so you get a better workout.  Anyway, I'm sorry you're having to go through this and I hope you get some relief soon!   Rex has RA, he told me to tell you that he hopes you get feeling better soon.  It's not fun...

Hugs!!
