Water - YUCK
I had a similar issue and use Crystal Lite nearly all the time during my first year. It's not an issue anymore.

I use flavors -- there are a TON of them available on the market, and most stores like Target and Walmart have their own, too. Lots of sugar-free. I love the Welch's grape, too, because it tastes just like grape juice, which used to be one of my favorite things to drink preop. Hawaiian Punch also has a pretty good berry-lemonade, fruit punch, blue raspberry, and grape. They don't taste sugar-free to me.
You can also try tea, which you can get decaf and sweeten without sugar (Splenda, stevia, Truvia, honey if you can tolerate it, etc.)

I've never been a big drinker but around 2/200****er became my primary beverage. I would go through the Crystal Light, Walmart version and Wylers version like crazy. PostOp, I can't tolerate the taste of anything that has artifical sweetners in it (Splenda included) so those were out for me. I know drink water with either fresh limes or the Real Lime from concentrate! I was a lemon girl for a while but thought I'd change up. This has helped me with getting my fluids in. I don't have a problem with real sugar so sometimes I'll get a tea from a restaurant and have them prepare it 1/2 sweet and 1/2 unsweetened, just so I don't get ALL of those extra bad things!
