My very 1st post-op WOW!

Since I am losing my job, I decided it was time to see the PCP and to get my annual physical scheduled.  I went in today to talk to her about these issues and about my medications - Dr. Smith wanted me to do this ASAP and I drug my feet last week.

So I go in today, and I weigh 268, which is -26 and change since surgery for a total of -37 overall.  Not bad.  Okay, it's great!  But I go in to have my vitals taken, and SHE USED THE NORMAL SIZED ARM CUFF!!!  Holy crap, that was a WOW that snuck up on me!  And, and...... my BP was 123/78 and that's without one of my meds!  Dr. Smith took me off one when I left the hospital, and now it's honestly, truly gone for ever!  I think I might cry, it feels so good! 

BTW, I go in next month for my physical and we'll see then if I can kick the other BP med.  The one I'm still on is a calcium channel blocker to keep my heart from racing.  I think that one's on it's way out, too!

Now I know I have never actually SAID this, but I love, love, LOVE my DS!!!  And hey, I AM going to look smashing in my interview suit!  I really want this job thing resolved soon.  I polished up the CV today, and I'm posting for the internal jobs tomorrow.  I hope to interview next week.  Could y'all find time to say some prayers my way?  I'd really appreciate it!

WOW!!! Congratulations your fabulous start to the new you! I know that you are going to rock that DS all the way down. I can't wait to have you shop with me in the petite's... and it will happen sooner than you can imagine. Your BP is great and I'll bet you'll be off the other one soon.

I'm really looking forward to seeing you Saturday as well. I know that it hasn't been 'that' long, but it sure feels like it. I'm slooking forward to seeing less of you.

Aw, thanks Barb.  I really appreciate and value your friendship so much!  I have been praying for you and Ben also.  How is his job search going?  I think of him often, and if I run across anything during my own search, I will certainly pass it on.  See you soon, my friend.

Ben is still steadily beating the bushes, but to be honest there just isn't much out there. He had one interview for a contract position, but didn't get it. He continues to search high and low.

I love the small cuff!  Congrats on your WOWS!

I'm so jealous of the small cuff! My arms are huge. I so look forward to the small cuff moment. I think I will relish the small stuff and it sounds like you do too!
