A special gift I got today

I was at Food Lion going to find out what my schedule will be and all of a sudden Carlos the deli manager came running over  to me telling me about a Cardinal he found  lying in front of the entrance to the store.
At first I think the bird was in shock because I feel he ran into the windows in front of the store.
Carlos put him in a outside planter and showed me where he was.
I had a short time before I had to be at my mothers but I was close enough to go home with the bird and get him in a cage and get him food and water and still get to my moms house.
Got home only to find Red hoping around my kitchen which I purposly closed off before going to my mothers.
Red is very alert and very quick on his feet.
As for my mom I took her to a nice pool today in Chapel Hill and her PT met us there and we wheeled mom in the water.
On the way home she said how much she enjoyed the water.
Her Pt was talking about this becoming a week outting for her and how much of a help I was for bringing her.
So time will tell but if my new schedule allows me to take her to the pool once a week I am happy to do it.
