Read this... very comforting!!!!   I feel for you.... It was awful when I had to have my Fluffy put to sleep.  I know he is in a better place with no pain.. but it was still awful.  That was 10 years ago!!!

Hi Ellen,
I am right there with what you are going through with loosing your best friend.
My Rosie is 22 years old and since Christmas been doing all I can to make her comfortable.
I am having such a hard time letting go.
I do know Rose is not suffering or in pain and if that were to change then I will do what needs to be done.
Love and Light.
                                                 Annie

It is never too late to be what you might have been.?

My heart aches for you.  It's been almost a year since we put our 13 year old Lucky dog to sleep.  You will be in turmoil for a while, but the pain does subside.  (I don't think it will ever go completely away)  We find ourselves one minute  laughing about fond memories and crying the next.  We have two one year old airdales now, but I find myself missing the bond I had with Lucky.  I've discovered that as I find new ways of living my life with our new dogs, I have begun to accept the loss.  It's truly one of the hardest things I have ever lived through.  Honor his memory and allow yourself to grieve.  Hugs and prayers!

I am so sorry Ellen.  After my surgery my dog nursed me back to health, I know I would not have made it without her.  I only hope that time eases your pain.
BTW you look GREAT, I haven't seen you since the meeting a Perkins about 14 months ago. You have done a fantastic job with your weight loss.

Take care
Joanne
