Iron Supplements

They told me that I would need to take iron supplements and suggested elixir.  I can't imagine that it would be tasty.  Pepto Bismol makes me puke.  Is there any way that I could skip this or take it in another form????

Many people that have had RNY do have to take iron suppliments, but some do not and in my case, I cannot because of another medical condition that I have. I would talk to your Dr and ask them to run blood tests to watch your iron levels and determine if you are deficient and need iron. If you do, there are different types of iron available. Not all are the same. You can look for or google 'vitalady' to get some information about iron and the different types available. You might also cross-post this question the diet and nutrition forum where they have registered dieticians that moderate the forum that might be able to answer your question.

I love, love, love the Celebrate iron supplement from www.celebratevitamins.com/ . I have the chewable grape flavored.  They taste just like a grape sweet tart.

Ginny I was thinking about calling you to see how you're doing.
