Bought my LAST big size anything today

My surgery is February 17th...at my pre-admin yesterday they told me to wear something lose when I go home.  Had nothing at all...it's been a long time since anything was lose on me. So, I went to Walmart and found a duster in the pj dept size 3x that fits lose. I have lost 19 lbs since I was first weighed in November, so that's probably why it fits lose.  The duster is perfect since it is a dress one wears around the house to "dust"...and still be able to answer the door. On the way home from Walmart I realized that this is the last time I buy anything this big again...forever!!!
I am excited about Tuesday, but not scared at all.  I am more worried about doing everything right afterwards.  I have a great team working with me at Womack Army Hospital and it's great to know that there are so many of them there to help me.
I just joined this web site yesterday and hope to make many friends.

Hi Lee,

Welcome to the NC Forum. I hope that you will find this group as warm, supportive and welcoming as I have. I must say that I've surprised and pleased with the number of genuine friendships I've developed during the time I've been associated with the people here.

Congratulations on your upcoming surgery!! I look forward to watching your metamorphosis.

Wishing every success,

Barbara

Lee like you I was doing just fine in 3x stuff but in six months since the surgery I am in a large. Just think when you are about five months out and all goes well you will not have to deal with alot of X's anymore.  Hang in there the first few days will most likely be the worst of it all then only a flair up now and then as you adjust to things slowly. Dont let it get you down either. When you find yourself fitting into booths for regular people and not having to adjust the table like I did to make it work it will be nice. If you are like me you will honestly crave the day you get to smush up an egg for the first time and slowly eat it. Im glad to have another fellow on the board with the rest of us few fellows on here. Be sure to ask any questions that pop up from time to time. These people on this NC forum will not mind a bit sharing with you either. My best to you on Super Tuesday.

Pushnowind, thanks for the encouraging words.  I am very much looking forward to again fitting into those booths and not have to ask for a table every time I go out.
Wanted to let you know though, I hope it's not too disappointing, but I'm not going to be one of the fellows with you.  I am a woman.  Lee is my nickname and has been since I was a kid.
I'll be posting a picture soon.
Thanks again and I plan to be on this site a lot now that I found it.

Congrats Lee! Welcome and hope to see you here often. My surgery is March 9. I'm having the VSG.
Are you as emotional as I am? One minute I'm excited and the next I'm scared to death.
Everyone here says that's normal so I'm just gonna try to sit back and enjoy the ride.
This is a great forum! I think I just might go to Walmart tomorrow and buy me one of those dusters
