set back
I just found out on thursday that they are going to have to move my surgery date from the 16 to the 26 of Feb.My insurance want to review my case some more.I have BCBS but it is from out of state and that is mhat DR.Mitchell's office is telling me.I just wish they would not have scheduled me until it was for sure.Just another week and a half.I have been this way for a long time so it is not to much longer to wait. Thanks for letting me vent.
I hear your frustration, but I also hear your sense of reason. I'm sure that the 26th will be here and gone before you know it.

Jr hang in the man. Its only a few days and if it helps call the insurance folks up and tell them to have a party in your honor instead of reviewing the case. Heck man when they realize all the good your going to get out of this surgery and all the fewer bills they have to pay in the long run they should send you a check over the amount of the surgery for a few grand for a new wardrobe. I had to wait about ten days because I was on asprin prior to my surgery and It does stink pretty bad especially when you have all the ducks in a row and the gun loaded for the hunt. After it is all behind you though you have the rest of your like to thumb your nose at them or what ever jestures you like when you have shrunk down to a half or less of the man you used to be literally. Good luck with the bean counters at the insurance place.
Hello Jr. My name is Stephanie. Dr. Mitchell is also my surgeon. Isn't he, Brett, the nurses, and the staff great!!! I'm a little over 2 months out. My advice is to stay patient and optimistic as you have been, and to be prepared for the unexpected. Two weeks before my surgery, I was told I had one of those womanly infections and I was shocked! I had no clue because I had none of the usual symptoms. However, what I understood very quickly is that if it did not clear up in a week, my surgery was going to be postponed. I had been working for 6 months towards my Dec 4 surgery date because I could be out during Christmas break to recover (I'm a teacher, too). If I couldn't have it done in December, then I would have to wait until June-a whole year after I started the process! I was bummed out. Thankfully, my husband knew how to help keep my spirits up and the antibiotics I took worked and my surgery went as planned. I'll keep you and your wife in my thoughts and prayers. Hopefully, you'll get the green light for Feb 26. It will be here before you know it!
