Yep! Unless they have a specific exclusion your policy you meet the over 40 BMI criteria. If you had a BMI under 40 they would want you to have at least one co-morbidity along with a BMI of 35 or greater. Looks like you'll be just fine.
I had United HealthCare, but with mine, I started with a BMI about like yours and dropped it down to a BMI of 37 by the time I got around to surgery. BTW, they use the BMI you have whenyou begin the program as the official BMI of record when submitting for insurance, so it didn't matter that my BMI dropped before surgery. Also, I had more than one co-morbidity, so I would have still qualified even if they counted my BMI at my surgery weight.
