a little behind maybe?
Ok, so i saw my doctor last week, once a day when i was in the hospital while i was sick, i was getting b-12 iv, and iron Iv and a few other vitimans that where low low. Then i went yesterday to see my Nut for the first time since my surgery, yet no one has told me what vitamin's i need to take. I take 4 children's chewable vitamin's a day, once at breakfast and once a dinner, i have to take them on a full pouch of it becomes a grouch on me. I'm a little over a month out, and confused... I know i have read on here a few times, that other's take a hand full of vitamin's and yet i don't know if i need to be taking extra or what. I don't see the my do****il March and same for the nut, and how often do i see the nut. Some how i missed something on how to take good care of myself after surgery, or that wasn't even told to me. Anyone with suggestions would be great. I know to call my doc office but the nurse there is always teaching a class, so i don't really get answers to my questions.
Thanks

OK - go back through your education papers - toward the end there should be a section on vitamins. Southern Surgical recommends the OptiSource Post Bariatric Surgery Formula. You can get them at Wal-Greens for about $30 for the month's supply. There are 120 chewable tablets in the bottle. You take 2 in the am and 2 in the pm. they really aren't that bad.
Which Nutritionist did you see? Jennifer Elias? I'm surprised that she didn't go over what you needed to be taking as well. Anytime you have a question - call that office and leave a message - they've been very good for me in returning calls. Pick out one particular nurse and get ona first name basis with her. Bobbi is normally a very busy girl with the classes if that's who you were trying to contact.
PM me if you need anything else.
