Does anyone know?

I'm at my wits end and just about 1 yr out from LapBand surgery. I have not been sucessful in this journey and feel that I need to take a new direction.
I plan on calling Duke myself but was wondering if anyone knew if they allow patients into their service with out the costly charges most Dr's seem to require for taking over your care.

It is my understanding that they will accept new patients, but will require their application/program fees. I think it was $250 for the program fee when applying to the program. There is a psych fee that you have to pay after you have been enrolled in the program, prior to surgery. I think it was $300.00. They will give you insurance re-imbursement forms that you can submit to your insurer to see if they will re-imburse some if not all of the psych visit fees.
