Waiting on Insurance!

Hey everyone! First of all.. anyone who sent me messages and I did not respond. Please... do not take it personal. For some reason I can not respond to messages on this site from my laptop. I am sure it is a setting I need to fix, but it annoys me like crazy!

Woooo Hoooo...just had my decision visit with Dr.Chapman this past Tuesday. (It was rescheduled the first time because of the snow!) Anyway... the spot on my liver he is not that concerned about.He said it appears to just be a cyst.

Also... he approved me for the surgery.He said within about 5 days they would get everything off the Fed BCBS and I should hear something soon. I am so excited. I am hoping maybe to have my surgery soon... maybe within the month or so? Is that just wishful thinking?

I picked up my liquid diet while I was there. I am just waiting for those two weeks before to start drinking up.

I am beyond excited! I pray I get approved!

Woo Hoo!!!!!!!!! You're on your way now. Hang in there - this is the part of the process that seemed to take an eternity. You've done everything you need to do and now it's up to some nameless, faceless people. We've all been there - so post often and keep us up to date.

I am so excited for you!!!!  I am so glad that the surgery will not be delayed because of the spot on the liver. I have a friend that has a spot on hers and it has not grown in 5 years. They think she had it since birth.

Hopefully it will not take too long to get approved. I think there was someone on the board and they had fed BCBC and it took a week. My approval was fast because I went to a center of surgery of excellence. I received a letter within 3 days in the mail.

I'm glad you got cleared from the doc...I know that you are so anxious to get the approval from the insurance...I also have BCBS and I have heard alot of people say that they are usually good about getting a quick response.  I hope so.....I just had my first appointment with Dr.Chapman on 2/3/09 and I have had a few of my tests done.  I am waiting on the letter from his office with my appointments for my other testing...I am so excited...I am so ready to get this weight off so that I can feel and look better.  Keep us updated, and let us know when you get your surgery date....Good luck
