Pain in Left side? Does anyone else have this

OK.  I know this is normal.  But I thought after a few days it would get better.  Am I pushing things to quickly?  I've gone back to work this week, and today I had to drive about 50 miles.  Now I'm paying for it.  It's my left side, where I was told would hurt for about a month because of a stitch and also between there and the belly button.  It stings and burns. 

Did anybody else have this problem right after surgery?  I did call the office yesterday and was told that it is probably a pulled muscle.

Hi Deborah,

I did have the type of pain in my left side that you are a referring to. I understand that this is where the biggest trocar is inserted and that is the reason for the discomfort.

I know that some folks are back in the saddle within a week or 10 days, but I think about 3 weeks is most common. It may be that you just aren't ready to go back full time yet. Call your Dr and talk to them about how you are feeling.

HEy Deborah--I had the same problem--the same hurts as you--thebelly button area hurt worse then the left side some days--but walking helped as I held my belly button area.  It  took about 3 weeks for it to get better--even now if I get bloated from standing on my feet all day-my incisions hurt because they are getting stretched.  Trust me--take some tylenol and it will make it better.  It seemed like the third week everything got better!!  Take care and I hope this helps!!  God Bless!!

Thanks for the help.  I did call the MD.  They didn't seem to be to concerned.  I'm going to my first checkup Tuesday.
