I was never a coffee drinker till I met Lee.
Long story short once I got the ok I could have coffee I look forward to my morning cup.
SF creamers are getting way to sweet for me down YUCK dont like to sweet any more.
I am noticing I am experincing that Jittery feeling after having my coffee now.
I think I am going to have to stop coffee in the morning and try some Red Ruby Grapefruit Crystal Light instead.

Annie,

No!!!  You too!!!  I just had my surgery last week and they told me I could drink coffee.  Well, I was so excited about that, until I did.  Now it's not that big of a deal anymore.  The only thing I get out of it is that it is warm.  I was an avid coffee drinker.  I don't like the sugary creamer like I used too.  I guess this surgery does change you.

Hope you are doing well.

Deborah

Hi Deb,
I am glad to read you have done well since your surgery.
Yes our taste do and will change after surgery.
There are many times when I will eat somthing and I always tell Lee That Had To Be The Best whatever it was LOL.BTW the hospital in Rocky Mount has the BEST Chicken Tortilla soup ever in the cafateria LOL I found this out when Ann and I met up with Emelinda.
It was so darn good it would almost be worth a trip to go get more.

I was never a coffee drinker prior to WLS. When Mickey D's came out with the iced coffees - I'd get one of those every once in a while. After surgery I came across the reviews for Click (Espresso & Protein) and started doing those - DAILY. Well you guessed it - I now crave coffee. Hot or Iced, it doesn't matter. I drink a regular in the morning and then drink lots and lots of water. Then in the afternoons I have a click  - followed by lots of water and then some days an evening coffee.

I think I need to step away from the coffee pot.

As sarah said she was surprised that I drink coffee so often now. However, I only drink decaf. I love using the DaVinci Caramel SF Syrup and I do use creamer or milk so that it's almost a cafe au lait.

How about trying hot tea instead of coffee?  It's less caffeine, but a great little pick-me-up.  I ended up becoming a tea drinker while living in the UK, where tea drinking is akin to breathing.  While there I developed accute IBS.  My poor gut was giving me hell.  When I went off the coffee and switched to tea, it was a lot better.  I still like coffee, but if I drink more than half a cup my gut feels like it's eroding.

In an effort to get in enough fluids in I have learned that I really enjoy a half and half mixture of Crystal Lite Ice tea and lemonade mix warmed up as a hot tea. It is really good and since staying warm some days is such an issue the hot drink hits the spot. I did have some decaf coffee at dinner tonight but I never liked coffee any way except black and unsweetened. It was okay but nothing to crave I think.

Thats a good idea. In fact I was looking up the recipe for Russian Tea. this sounds very much like it.
This morning I have brewed some instant decaf I used to drink it alot after dinner early out.
BTW Ann I need you to get up with me when you can I will be going to FL to see if I got the job doing demos I will let you know.
