New Here...
Kel
Welcome. Glad to have you with us. Where is your surgery? I had mine (RNY) on 1/21/2009, am back at work full time, walking over a mile a day, been to gym already, and feeling great. I'll be honest, this 3 weeks of liquids only is killing me.... but I have 6 DAYS UNTIL SOFT FOODS are introduced and I can't wait!!! Guess I have been lucky. I have not encountered any problems yet. Biggest helpful hint I can think of is don't buy alot of only one kind of protein shake. I had to go through a few before I found one. Still not my favorite thing, but I tolerate them for now. Let me know if you have any other questions. I love to talk!!!

Now that you're not lurking - you'll have to tell us all about yourself. As someone already pointed out - we are a friendly bunch on here. There aren't many questions that you can ask that someone hasn't already had to deal with in one way or another.
The next 4 weeks will fly by for you - trust me when I say that nervous is normal. Let us know if there's anything we can help you with. My RNY was almost 6 months ago at Pitt and it is undoubtedly "THE" best thing I have ever done for myself.

Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape.

Hi Kel,
Welcome to the NC forum. As others have said, I think that you will find this to be a warm, informational, supportive site. I look forward to getting to know you as you make this incredible, life-changing journey. I had my surgery about 20 months ago and others have said, it's one of the best things I've ever done before. My husband also just had his own in December. He's lost about 45 lbs since surgery and is doing well.
Wishing you all the best,
Barbara
