Question about relocating to NC weeks after surgery
Oops! Excuse me. I didn't read your post correctly. I honestly don't know that it will matter much if you do it all in one place are not. If you have a surgeon that you like, are comfortable with and have insurance approval, maybe you'll want to go through them. If not, you'll probably be able to bring some of your testing information with you, but you may have to redo some. You also may end up having to wait a while, depending on the program. I'd call them all to get a good feeling on the lead times, requirements, what they are likely to accept from your CT surgeon etc... I'd also check into their various fees... most are going to require an enrollment fee to participate in their program whether you have your surgery through them or not.

Hey Raven:
I agree with Annie that it would probably be better to have surgery in Raleigh where you will living. I have heard from others here that some docs don't like to do follow up on patients who have had the surgery elsewhere. Also, if you ran into any problems after surgery (which we hope you don't) you would want to go to the doc who did your original surgery.
Take care and good luck!
Pam
I think when once we make up our minds that we want wls I think many of us feel ok lets get the show on the road.
For some it happens quickly but for some it seems to take forever getting through all the red tape.
It is great you have had all your pre test done but keep in mind depending on when you had the test some doctors may require you do certain test again to have current information.
If this does happen to you do not give up and do not let it discourage you.
