He stil is NOT home!!! WARNING RANT
The new *problem* will take another entire day of waiting plus 16 hours for the mechanics to fix it. I am sure something else is going to break down. Hubby says they are in a special area on base called *Deployment processing* that means they are NOT allowed to go out in town and walk around, shop, have a beer, eat ect. They are stuck in that crappy Warehouse with nothing to do bu****ch movies and play Xbox, read and sleep. I would also love to tell you all how our Government is hard at work making the smokers miserable (hubby included, he smokes) hubby went to buy a pack of smokes and the guy working at the store said *where is your tobacco chit?* hubby explained they are Marines passing through (maybe permanent residence at the rate this is going) and he did not know what a *tobacco chit* was. The guy put up a HUGE fit and almost didnt sell hubby a pack of smokes because he didnt have the chit. This is because our lovely government sells the cigarettes and they think the military are going to buy them up and sell them out in town and make money off of them and our government would be losing out on taxes from the resale LMAO
Thank you to all of you who have listened and supported through this ordeal. When I was on active duty stuff like this would happen on almost every deployement we did. I do not know why I expected anything different. The rear party that was still in Africa who were scheduled to arrive 2 weeks after hubby is now safe and sound at Cherry Point. I have been invited to come to their homecoming this afternoon but I just cannot take being around that scene today. I KNOW it is part of the military, I know the rules, I just want my hubby home!!! I will see you all at Logans tonight.......... I might just have a few Roadhouse Teas
(((((Darcie)))))),
I wish that there was something I could say or do that would ease your pain and frustration. I know that there isn't, but I also want you to know that I hear you, I care and I hope he'll be home safe and sound soon.

Oh Darcie. I wish there was something ANY of us could do. The Air Force moves at it's own pace! Is this any way to run a war?
I'm surprised your hubby didn't chew someone's head off over the cigarettes. After being delayed for all those many days and then possibly having to go without his nicotine!?! Thank heaven he was able to get some.
Enjoy yourself tonight. Let your hair down. Have a few drinks, get a DD to get you home, and forget all your cares for a few hours.
Your hubby WILL get home!! You WILL enjoy catching up. You WILL laugh about this later (probably in 10 or 15 years). You KNOW it will probably happen again!
