OT: Update on Sarah...

Great News!! When we met with Sarah's Dr. this afternoon, he said that she does NOT have a ruptured patellar tendon. NO SURGERY! YEAH!!! While she has done quite a number on her knee and will be in a brace, on crutches and have to undergo more PT to rehab the leg, becaue she really tore and strained some of the muscles, tendons and ligaments, she did not rupture the patellar tendon and all of the hardware that was put in place last summer is still exactly where it should be. Thanks for the good wishes and prayers... .

I am happy for your great news. I have not been on line for a few days and missed your post. But I can send prayers now to speed her healing.

Hi Barb.  Finally some good news!!!  I was just preparing to post a message telling you I was so sorry  to hear about Sarah then I saw your update.  I'm so glad that Sarah is going to be ok.  Tell that young lady to stay off the slopes and on dry ground.  No more racing down the mountain, at least for a while.

I told her that was the last 'ski' trip for her while she's under my roof. LOL. I'm not too sure that I'm kidding either.... It will be okay for her to go 'play in the snow,' go sledding, etc... but, I think that skiing just might not be in the cards for her. Now, white water rafting is a totally different conversation. ;-)

How is Rose doing? Please give her my warmest regards and wishes for a speedy and gentle recovery.

Barb

Hi Mare,

Yep! I think we all rested a bit easier last night... That said she had a rough night, but that was a pain management issue. Even though the injury is not  nearly as serious as once thought, she's torn up her leg and is hurting. It just could have been so  much worse and we are very grateful for the positive turn of events.

Congratulations again your successful appointment and I'm wishing you al the best as you prepare for your hernia surgery.

Hugs,
