Weird pain?

My drain and incision sites are healing nicely and really no longer hurt, but all of a sudden I have this funny, burning type pain just under the skin next to my belly button. There is no incision within 4 inches of there. It is not really sore to touch, but feels painful when moving. Anybody have any ideas? I have my F/U on Wednesday so will check then for sure, but its weird that this is giving me the most discomfort!

I am experiencing the same pain.  At times it takes my breath it burns so bad!!!  It is a constant pain for me (dull) and at other times it is more intense.  I complained about it to my surgeon and they did a CT scan and found nothing.  They did tell me that some people experience this for up to 6 months.  They advised me to take things easy.  i.e. not get clothes from the washer because that pulls on that area, not to sweep because the twisting motion will aggravate it, etc.

I can't even roll over in bed mine hurts so bad at times.  And it especially hurts when I sneeze or cough.  I am six weeks out and still taking it easy as directed.  I use moist heat and tylenol and it helps to a point but no relief.

Thanks Pam, sounds very similar. This actually "hurts" worse than the incision where the stapler went in. I wonder if its drainage from above or just my abdominal wall resettling after being blown up. Will ask my doc Wednesday and let you know. I don't like the sound of 6 months when the others are feeling so good!

 I may be in the wrong ball park but after having so many incisions over the years it never fails that something always comes out a little different. Though I dont have the burning pain in the Stomach I do have place where I have no feeling whatsoever. It could be that a nerve was mess with in the process of the surgery and has not found its happy place yet. I can only wish they had stapled me shut when I came out of the OR. I did learn how to do steri strips over and over again till the T. V, incision healed up. If I could get rid of the burning sensation when I eat and dont take previcid that would be so nice. I hope your situation will improve greatly and eventually go away with the pounds.
