Larry and I and a couple of other friends are going to do another training hike. This time it will be right at ten miles and will go on a steady uphill battle for the first five mile for right at 3000 feet. I dont mind that so much as I do the same trail going down hill the same distance. Anyway im sure that there will be tomfoolery and mayhem of some degree and I will only take about twenty pounds extra in the pack. I hope all yall have a great Sunday and I am sure I will be back in the saddle sore as heck and wishing I had laid around in front of the television all day instead watching the pigskin shuffle. Maybe Ill get lucky and the Steelers will come out on top this year.

Well I just got out of a well deserve hot tub of water and feel like I can handle life for a while now. A little backstory on this hike. I have tried at least ten times to make this hike work and the mountain always kicked my butt. Much of what we do hiking is physical but alot of it is mental. If you get on a hill that is five miles long and almost three times the height of the Empire State Building your mind will eventually tell you to turn around and get on back down. Today I actually made it up to Lonesome Pine and did it in about two hours. I felt like Micheal Phelps without all the pomp and stuff for getting a gold medal. Just the personal thrill of doing it and making it work was enough. I think having the health to not wear down the weight loss not to hinder the trek was a big factor. I did have a full back pack of about twenty pounds on and still felt like I was working like a good mule to plow the way up there. I dont know if any of yall facebook but I will post some pictures from up there. Just look for Push Mccann and Ill get yall access. Not being too internet savvy I have just figured out how to get pictures up there. Now if the Steelers win somebody send me a message cause I qui****ching the game ten years ago. Yall have a good Bowl day.
