This is another 'getting to know each other' thread. I look forward to getting to know you as you answer the questions.

Barb

1.  How many cities have you lived in?  List them in order, if you can keep track!  Lol!

2.  What was your most successful diet plan that you followed when you were a normie, and how much did you lose, oh and how long did it stay off?  (And if you are a normie, which diet has worked best for you in your efforts to lose?)

3.  What's your favorite thing to do to get yourself in a good mood?

4.  If you were another person, would you want to be friends with you?

5.  Besides people, name one thing that you don't think you could live without.

1.  How many cities have you lived in?  List them in order, if you can keep track!  Lol!

I have lived in 12 cities.

San Antonio, TX, Harlengin TX, Karamursel Turkey, San Antonio TX, Denver CO, Aurora CO, Patrick AFB, FL, Satelite Beach FL, Moffet Field NAS CA, Sunnyvale CA, San Jose CA, Raleigh NC

2.  What was your most successful diet plan that you followed when you were a normie, and how much did you lose, oh and how long did it stay off?  (And if you are a normie, which diet has worked best for you in your efforts to lose?)

I guess that depends on how you define success? Does that mean the one I lost the most weight with or the one where I kept the most off?

I lost the most weight, about 60 lbs when Ben and I were first married and POOR. We couldn't afford much food and decided it was a good time to 'diet.' I went on a modified version of the 'cabbage soup' diet and lost the 60 lbs.

I kept the most off for the longest period of time with weigh****chers when I lost about 45 lbs and kept it off for about a year before I regained it and then some.

3.  What's your favorite thing to do to get yourself in a good mood?

I guess I love to pamper me... a hot bath, a pedicure, etc... Otherwise, I like spending time with or talking to friends or a great movie

If all else fails put on the music and DANCE!

4.  If you were another person, would you want to be friends with you?

In general I would say yes... I think I'm a thoughtful, considerate friend. But, I can be difficult when I'm suffering from a bout of depression because I tend to withdraw and might not respond as  you would like me to when I'm struggling.

5.  Besides people, name one thing that you don't think you could live without.

My laptop! It's my connection to my friends, family and the world.

1.  How many cities have you lived in?  I've always lived in Powells Point - it hardly qualifies to have apost office let alone city status. I love being a country girl.

2.  What was your most successful diet plan that you followed when you were a normie, and how much did you lose, oh and how long did it stay off? I've always been big. I did do Weigh****chers a few times. 40 lbs was the biggest loss but that was around the time that I also had my hysterectomy so I can't say that WW was a success. I did have to follow Adkins prior to surgery and that got about 10 lbs off.

3.  What's your favorite thing to do to get yourself in a good mood? Laugh. Used to it would be by watching my kids do silly stuff. Last night, David & I watched the Bucket List and well - I cried like a baby. I thought there's no way I can end my day on such a down note so after we talked (hours - about deep stuff) we found an episode of America's Funniest Home Videos and ended up with one of the list items - laugh til you cry.

4.  If you were another person, would you want to be friends with you? Yes - if for no other reason than my laughter is contagious.

5.  Besides people, name one thing that you don't think you could live without. The first thing that comes to my mind is my black lab - Gus. He's been with me for 10 years but I do know that there will come aday when he's no longer physically here. So the adult thought out answer is-  my faith. There have been times in my life where it's waivered but it has never failed me. Trust me when I say it's seen me through plenty of heartaches

Thanks Barb for sharing this one. I guess it's because of that dang Movie last night but I've been pretty quiet and reflective today so the timing for it was perfect. The girls at work all think that something is wrong because I haven't had a "Quiet" Day in a really long time.
