A Little Sad

I just needed to vent-I had posted two weeks ago that I had gone to 1/2 medicine for my heart-well I guess my heart is not ready for that-going on 1/2 tablet twice a day-my heartbeat starting going up fast-so my doctor told me to go back to regular prescription.  I know Dr Davidson told me that my heart issue could be caused from the Phen Phen I took in the 80's and wls might not help it.  I am trying to stay positive-like knowing I am no longer a diabetic-but I was hoping that I could cut back on the meds.  Maybe in time-I just need to stay positive.  Sorry for posting a bad discussion-but I just needed to vent=thanks for letting me!!
I wish everyone contiued success in their journey!!

Gina,

I can hear your disappointment and frustration. It might take time for things to correct. I hope that they do.

My husband had the surgery last month and while he has been fortunate to have most of his meds discontinued, he still has to use the CPAP which he was hoping to ditch. His Dr told him to be patient and realize that it will take some time, but that this too should resolve. I wish the same for both of you.

Thanks Barbara for your words of wisdom.  What is it that they say--"All good things in time"
Please let your husband know that my husband had his surgery in August and I believe it was in November when he got rid of his c-pap.  I will keep him and you in my prayers.
Thanks again!

That's why we're here - vent away.

Think positive thoughts that you're no longer a diabetic and take the heart meds one day at a time.  It may take a little longer, but it sounds like you and your doctors are doing great keeping an eye on it.

Keep your chin up.. you are still just only a little less than 5 months out.  Good things do come to those who wait.  :)  Stay the course and I pray you will see an improvement.  :)

HI Gina,

I have been off all my meds...except arthritis meds...since surgery in Februaury. Off my CPAP too. BUT...my PCP is talking about putting me back on BP meds since I have been borderline high for the past 4 months.
Not sure what's causing the increase. Maybe stress. But I still have quite a bit more to lose and am confident that if I DO start BP meds again, it won't be for long.
I'm sure as you continue to lose weight that heart medicine of yours won't be needed anymore. If it is, it is. Do what's best for a healthy you.

Take care,
Mare
