Were you ever feeling nauseous as part of feeling sick? For me, it isn't a real nausea in the sense that I don't actually throw up, but it is more an "ewww, I don't think I want to eat--food doesn't sound very good to me right now" kind of thing.

For instance, a few weeks ago I had to find a WLS-acceptable restaurant menu for myself and a friend who has had VSG. I was looking at menus online in the morning, and reading the menus kind of turned my stomach a little bit. Didn't make me throw up, but I just kind of had an aversion to reading the menus.

I find that as the day goes on, my appetite gets a little better and I can eat a little bit, but I am definitely eating less than I was eating a few weeks ago.

And while my weight loss continues, I've noticed that the rate of weight loss for the last 6-7 pounds seems to have accelerated a little bit, which is a little unexpected since I hear that as you get closer to goal, the weight loss slows down and that the quickest rate of weight loss is at the beginning. While I'm all for losing the weight, I want to do so in a healthy manner and the quickened pace has had me wondering what is going on.

sounds alot like how I started before the pain started. You might want to ask your doctor about a hyda scan.

with God all things are possible.

Thanks, I will ask him about this if the results from my ultrasound (which was done this morning) are negative. I have a follow-up appointment with him on Wednesday. Appreciate hearing from someone who has been there!
