home from gallbladder surgery
Everything went well. I had some infection stayed over night. received 3 rounds of antibiotics by IV. Had drain tube for 24 hours. Very sore and swollen but no serious pain and do not feel sick at all. Thank you for all your encouraging words and Thank you Dr. Mitchell. He is so great and encouraging. He removed adhesions and tubing from old G-tube sight. No hernias and no ulcers.
with God all things are possible.
I'm glad to hear that you are doing well and hope that you will continue to recover well.
All the best,
Barbara

Hello! I'm in California but did a search for "gallbladder" and found this thread.
Say my surgeon yesterday complaining of nausea and poor appetite (for the past few weeks--up till now I've been fine--I'm 8 months post-op tomorrow) and ordered blood tests and an ultrasound to check my gallbladder.
He asked if I had any other pain and I almost said no, but then remembered I'd had some back pain, but told him I thought it was from exercising a lot. But when I showed him the location of the back pain, he said it could very well be my gallbladder.
So, my question for the OP is what were your symptoms? How long did they last? Basically, how did you find out you needed your GB taken out?
Thanks in advance for any info you can provide!
Best,
Cindy

I was sick feeling all the time, no appetite and then began to have alot of pain in right side and middle of chest. When they performed ultra sound everything looked normal but when they did a hyda scan my gallbladder would not absorb any dye. It had died and ceased to function.
