I didn't mean to sound ungrateful...I truly am. I feel incredible!! I always expect more of myself than I would expect of others.
I just don't want it to all be over...not yet.
Thanks Annie.

Congratulations on your one year success!  You should be very proud of yourself.  You have done a lot of great things this past year but the most important one is that you addressed a major health issue and have been very successful.  The work is not over but Baby look how far you've come!

Now-for the hernia.   They are no big deal until we let them go so long that they really put you in a serious condition-strangulation and sepsis.   My Dad is going through this now.   He has known and kept a secret for 5 years that he had a major hernia.  Now it is so bad that he has put his health and life in jeopardy.  He will be having surgery Wednesday to correct and hopefully he has not left it too long.  He will not be put to sleep-Just Versed and a local.  He will if everything goes well come home on the same day and he is 86 years old.   Trust your surgeon.  Keep your appointment and do what you have to do so that you can continue on your successful path.    Just know that all of us here on the NC Board are behind you and proud of you.

Sorry to hear about your dear father. I do hope he make a quick & complete recovery.
I AM keeeping my appointment on Friday. I don't want this hernia to be the next thing to limit my mobility.
Thanks for your support.

Mare,

157 lbs!!!!!!  A failure!!!! What have you been drinking, snorting or shooting up with?!?!?!!?!??? LOL  Looks to me like a huge SUCESS!!!!!  That is an average of 13.08 lbs per month. I am not sure that I can get my head around how outstanding that is!!  You go and get all the compliments from Meredith and Dr Harris that you want to dish out.  You deserve it!  I hope that the hernia thing works out for you also.  I want to hear all the details of all the compliments you get when you get back!!

Whooooooo Hooooooooo!!!!

((((((Mare))))))

I know I have come such a long way...BUT...50 lbs of that was pre-op. The rest was since surgery. That is what is frustrating me. Plus I have been battling the same 5 lbs for about 3 months.
I'm hoping with the hernia addressed I'll be able to do more strenuous exercise. I have been wanting to join Curves but couldn't due to the melon in my navel. LOL
Thanks for letting me vent.
;O)

Sweet Peanie,,, it ain't over yet!!!  One year does not a journey make!!!  Honey, it ain't over til the fat lady sings, right???  Dr Harris would have no right to "judge" your success rate since all he did was the cutting and connecting.  THAT he can judge!  You are statistically a success within HIS acceptable success rates.  Your problem is that you are not a success within YOUR success rates.  We are a lot alike.  SO demanding of ourselves and SO judgmental of ourselves!  Honey, if you had lost the weight even YOU had decided was "enough" in your timeframe, by the time you got there you would have decided it wasn't enough and that you had failed anyway!!  You know how we are!

You NEED to talk with him about that hernia.  Do you want me to go with you?  He's afraid of me, ya know!  LMAO!!!!  And you know damned well he isn't going to be nasty to you.  But just to make sure, I'll gladly go and run guard for you!!! Tee hee!

Love you, sweetie.  Go see Dr Harris.  Just do it.

I am PMing you the photo of the "old Pean" so you can have another visual proof of what a huge success you are!!!

Thanks for the picture and...
HOLY CRAP!
OK - let the caning begin. I deserve it.
Hopefully Dr. H will see it that way too. They do have my "before" picture in the folder. Perhaps he won't even recognize me. Sometimes I don't.
Thanks for the reality check.
Love ya!!

Mare,
As I said before, you are a success already!!!
Go for your year check - don't you need labs done also?  See where you are physically then you can get a better grip.  Hopefully the labs will just reconfirm what a success you really are.

You do need to get the herina checked out, too, especially if it's bothering you.

Keep the appointment - you know you should!!!!

Do like me, keep telling yourself, "By this time Friday it will be over!!""  Sometimes that's how I get through life!!!

"By this time Friday it will be over!!""

You are so right!
Even if it is a negative visit, I only have to endure it for a very short time. LOL
Thanks. I'll hold that thought.
