It all started on Tuesday, my husband said hey how about you get out of the house for a while with me and go to lowes, and then we will get our son from school. Being i have lived in the house since my surgery due to the weather i agreed, i was a starting to get a little cabin feverish.
So we went on our day out, just enjoying our time together. Not thinking of the lurking germs, colds and FLU's out there.
Friday morning i woke up feeling like i had been hit by a bus, more like a train. I was like what the heck, sneezing, my eyes itch. I was like oh great my allgeries got triggered. Went through out the day sneezing just feel horrible. So I called the doctors office, i asked what i could take, they told me dye free sugar free benydrol. So my hubby picked me up some. Last night i woke up coughing, my lungs rattling. So i took my temp 104.1 WOW what the heck is going on, how did this turn so quickly in to the Flu? a cold? what is wrong here. So today my husband toted me to the Urgent Care on base, they explained it was only post nasal drip and i should be fine. They did not do a  chest x-ray nothing. they where more concerned about the tape on my stomach. How is it post nasal drip if i'm still running a fever and my lungs feel like i sat in a smokey bar for the last five days.
I was feeling so great, up beat, ready for the world and now all i want to do is lay around, and i feel down right Crapy. I never thought about being sick this soon after surgery, yet here i am.

Dear MP,
Sounds like you got the common cold.  for watery eyes, benedryl.  for nasal drip, some kind of decongestant.  for aches and pains, tylenol.  You body is in overdrive right now because so much healing is going on inside.  So don't overdo it.  In the first two months, it wore me out just to take a shower.  Take care of yourself.

Being your not far out from major surgery please do call your surgen.  Your body is going thru alot of stress and it may not be very hard at all for you to catch Pneumonia!  Please call your surgen espically with such a high fever.

Sorry your feeling so bad and hope you feel better soon, but I agree call your surgeon because I've come to find out it doesn't matter what any of my other doctor's say it always falls back on what my surgeon says because of the WLS. I had a bad asthma attack 3 days out from surgery and I hadn't been out anywhere so just get checked out to be on the safe side with your surgeon. God Bless.

Fever that high is serious.  I'm very surprised.  If you don't improve in the next day or so, go to a different doctor!
