Hernia surgery update
I went to the surgen yesterday and she said I was doing fine. I still have to leave the staples and drains in for 2 more weeks unless the drains dry up first. I feel good but it is awkward going in public with the drains. I wear loose jeanes and put the drains in my pocket. My shirts are pretty large so it is mostly hidden. I have to wear a binder 24/7 but that is ok.... it makes me feel more secure. I am so happy and amazed that there is no basketball in my lap. Too be at my personal goal of 150 ..I need to loose 20 more lbs. But if it never happen I am happy at this size. I bought some 15/16 jeans Friday and they were a little big. They were the stretch type. Since I have the binder and drains ...I was afraid to go for a smaller size. Plus it was a pain in the butt trying on the jeans with all my apparatus on me. The wls and hernia repair is the best thing I have done in my 55 years on this earth. I am so happy...I must be a little insain. I want to thank of of YOU Wonderful people in my OH family for prayers.....understanding..... advice..
friendship...and fellowship. You and my DH have been my salvation. I only hope I can do the same for all of you Old and New.
Thank you my Angels

High/Surg/current/goal - 320/253/150/healthy - I am 5' 3" tall - Size 8 now! Past surgeon's goal now!
Hmmm... Just wait! Once you lose the drains and binder, I'll bet you'll be in a 14 and once you get active again and the swelling subsides, I'll bet you'll drop into a 12! Remember in the hospital when I told you I thought you'd be wearing a 14! It's just a matter of time and you look fabulous, even if you never lose another lb.
Congratulations my friend,

This is great to read about how well you are doing.
Like Ann I look forward to seeing you at a future Meetup.
I noticed this morning while just walking around my house feeding animals ect.. my body feel tight hard to explain it but it is a good feeling.
Hope to see you soon. BTW when I had my drains I told Lee I felt like the Borg Queen.
Annie
The drains are a pain! But I just stick them in my pocket and keep on going. If I was as dedicated to exercise as you are ...I could be so much further along. I sooooo need to get my butt to the YMCA. I will need some of your cheerleading when I am turned looose for exercise. I do not understand how I can come up with so many excuses. Hope to see you soon also.
