Im on the other end of the state literally so welcome to the board. The way I see it you have had two years to think on things and make up your mind just the way it needed to be. My wife had WLS almost three years ago and I took two years to figure out it was what I needed to do. I am the resident nut case on the board so if you get to reading about my misadventures they really happen.
One thing I will say with my WLS it has been the best thing I ever did. I know we all take different roads to the same locations but this group here is a big help in getting over the bumps in the road and most of us at some time had experienced many of the same problems that arrise from time to time. The one thing you will begin to notice after your procedure is that if you follow the plan it works. So welcome to the board and keep posting.

Welcome Tanya! I wanted to tell you that Dr. Miles is my doctor and I had gastric bypass almost 4 months ago. We have a support group the first Wed of every month at Cape Fear Hospital at 6:30pm on the 3rd floor if you would like to come. PM me if you have any questions I could help you with.

Oh great!!! I would love to come.. How is he as a doctor?? I havent met him yet. I know I went in there to get the paper work, they said to be there at 12 well I got lost out there and was late by 20 min she gave me the paper work but wouldnt take it... He's a good surgeon and he had his hands full with me because I've been sick alot but he is very stern at times as well, I would recommend him. His nurse Helen is very good at returning phone calls and taking care of business. Hope to see you at the meeting.

Welcome Tanya! I also had my surgery in Wilmington, however my dr is Dr. Harris with Coastal Surgery Specialist. We have a support group meeting the second Monday of every month at New Hanover Regional Hospital in the Education Center. We welcome all WLS patients to our meeting is you are this way on the second Monday join us.
