Newbie :o)

Hello I just wanted to introduce myself to the North Carolinians    I am some what new to the area, we just moved here over the summer... We had spent ten years in California, originally from Seattle. This is our first military move   About two years ago I started my journey to gettin WLS done. I had a doc in Cali went through all the mess and had a horrible experience and chickened out. Now after a year of soul searching ( Calming myself down LOL ) I decided to go through this again!! I am ready and I now have a "real" civilian doctor!! So now is the time, I am super excited.  I am now tossing between two doctors, my doctor wants me to go to UNC but traveling back and forth with my family etc. I just feel it would be to much.  A friend of mine told me about Dr. Miles in wilmington and I believe that is who I am going to go through!!

I am a huge baby, I am such a worry wart over the most stupid stuff. So going through this site and seeing every ones success and even problems has been a huge inspiration to me!! I love meeting new people making online friends for support etc. So I am in LOVE with this forum!! I just want to thank you all for sharing your stories and inspiring us all

Hi Tanya!  Welcome to NC an the NC OH Board.  I PROMISE you it is the BEST board out there anywhere.  All of these guys are genuine and just awesome!!  I hope that you find this a place where you can get support and information along your path  to WLS.

I am also from the west coast, Native Californian stuck out here for military. I was active duty USMC and did four years but hubby is still active duty Marine. Are you in Jacksonville? I see you are Navy so I am assuming you are at Lejeune or New River. My hubby is at New River (deployed right now but coming home next Wednesday!!) Anyways we have a great group that gets together once a month at Logans Roadhouse. The next time we get together is Feb 3rd at 7:00 pm if you would like to join us we would love to meet you!! anyways welcome to the board!

I appreciate the warm welcome. As of right now we are on the air station hubby works on lejeune ( long story LOL ) We should be moving onto lejeune SOON hopefully... I think that is wonderful you have get togethers, is that the logans here in Jacksonville??

Yes the one and only Logans in Jacksonville LOL I just posted the notice for February, please let me know if you would like to come!!!
