Is it just me or ....

Do some of you also get confused by the avatar changes?  I get so confused when I sign on and expect to see the same avatars only to find that they have changed.  Everyone changes so much and looks so good that I don't even recognize them.  I came to know most of you through your avatars and I seem lost when they get changed...LOL
For example, when I first signed on earlier this year there was a girl on here (NC board) who was always so helpful...her avatar was a picture of her sitting at a desk, but it was taking from the side.  I can't remember her name so I have no idea if she's even on here anymore...anyone know who I'm talking about about.  I'm thinking her name was Pam or something, but I really don't know.

Hi,  I do know what you mean, but I kind of enjoy the changes, even though sometimes it takes me a mintue or two to figure out who it really is!!! LOL

Sometimes I get lost with the changing avatars when they aren't representative of the person's face, but I really like seeing them when they do show the changes. Mine used to flip from my before, to one I had taken about a year ago. I changed it this fall because I'd lost about another 20 lbs and the difference was enough that people commented on it when they saw me in person. I changed it again this winter with one that shows me at my current weight of about 137.

I keep trying to think of the avatar you mentioned, but it doesn't come to mind. Hopefully, someone will recognize it and be able to tell us who it is.

I believe you are talking about "New-Beginning".  Her name is Pam and you are right she is very helpful.  A previous avatar showed her sitting at her desk with a co-worker, I believe.  I agree with you, the new avatars are a mixed blessing - sometimes it is hard to keep up!

My favorite avatars are the facial close-ups that change from month to month as a person makes their metamorphisis.  And wow, yes it can get confusing sometimes!  People do become unrecognizable.  I especially notice how big the smile becomes, the sparkle in the eyes, etc.  It's like watching a lotus push up from the bottom of a pond and unfolding in the sunlight!  Thanks for the compliment on my new avatar, btw.  I totally dig yours as well!
