Has it been SIX MONTHS already????

Holy cow!  It's hard to believe that 6 months ago, I was still in the hospital!  I had my 6 mo. follow up appt with Dr. K today.  He seemed pleased with my progress, so it's all good.  Their (evil) scale said I was 204 with jeans and sweater....BUT...MY scale found the "buck-nekkid" me to weigh 199 1/2 this morning!  So I'm claiming onederland, whether I"m there "officially" or not! LOL!  My size 16 GAP jeans were loose!

I even got Dr. K to cave in and count my 2 week preop diet in my "total" loss! LOL!  So from the beginning of July, by his scale, I'm down 80 pounds!  He said he'd be satisfied if I only lost another 20 in the next 6 months, but I'm hoping to do better than that.  He said 180 would be at 80% of excess weight lost, which is what's expected.  I really really hope I lose more than that.  My dream goal is 140, but I'd be delighted at 150 (I'm 5"7') and could live with 160....

Thanks for "sharing the moment" with me!

((((Lisa)))),

Congratulations my friend!!! Welcome to ONDERLAND!!

Wow!! 80 lbs lost in 6 months! That is absolutely incredible. I understand that your surgeon will be happy if you only lose another 20 lbs in the next 6 months, but it might make you feel good to know that statistically we lose about 60 percent of the excess weight we are going to lose during the first six months and the balance in the next 6 months, so you are likely to get much closer to your goal than you might first imagine. I think concervatively speaking, it's likely that you will lose another 40 to 50 lbs in the next 6 months and that should get you where you want to be.

Wishing you all the best and continued success,

Barbara

LMAO.. Dr. K and I have the arguement about counting my preop weight loss too!  I think EVERY FREAKING OUNCE should count!!!  LOL

Congrats on your 6 months Lisa.  Time for some new pictures girl!!!  I took a picture of the scale the day it hit 199, so I well remember how exciting that was.  My goal was 180, but I slipped on past it.  In reality I just wanted to weigh less than 200.  :)  Congrats again.  I am proud of you!

Lisa!  Six months...WOW!  Time flies when you're shedding 80 pounds, doesn't it?    Gosh, I hope I do as well as you, I tell ya.

I'd be claiming onderland too!  If my scale said it even once, I'd be like ONEDERLAND...woot!!!  lol  And size 16 Gap?  Girrrllll.  I hate to think of what the entire mall would hear coming from my dressing room if I ever get something like that on this bod of mine once again!

Congratulations on your awesome moment...can't wait to share more with you!
