Need Protein Answers

There's just so much information out there that it's a little overwhelming. My question is do any of you have any recommendations on what protein powders to purchase? I've been on Bariatricadvantage.com and looked at Nectar, Optifast, and Matrix 5.0. Some of the flavors look delicious, but I also need to find a powder that is tasteless that I could add to foods as well. The Nectar Lattes Cappucino looks good. It says it has 23g of protein and 0g of carbs. Has anyone tried this? Any other recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I have my 1 week follow up appt. with the Dr. this Friday (It'll actually be a week and 2 days) and I know he's going to start me on vitamins and proteins starting Friday, so I'm trying to hurry up and order some stuff. I've already ordered my vitamins today, so now I'm just trying to get some opinions about all the protein options. Thanks for any advice you may have.

I hated Nectar.. and really have had a HARD time finding protein.  Thank the good Lord I can get it from food now.. but the only protein powder I could tolerate was EAS from Sams... chocolate only.  I could also tolerate the Smart Forme fruity drinks sold by my doc..  Here is a link:  http://www.smartforme.com/bari-15colddrinks-atopseller.aspx

I have an unusual sense of smell (always have and RNY made it more sensitive) and if I can smell the whey I cannot drink it.  Also the gritty texture and taste was always a turn off.  Good luck finding your perfect powder!

GNC has a virtually tasteless whey protein called Anywhey. It can be added to multple foods or beverages even hot one. Be careful though too hot and it will form little balls.
