FINALLY APPROVED!!!!!

I heard from my doctors office yesterday that my surgery has finally been approved.

I have been so depressed and discouraged with this waiting. I have not even been able to post much or even come to the forum very often. I was so afraid that due to the economy, BCBS would deny my claim as they do not normally cover VSG surgery.
Now I feel like part of the OH family

I should hear something in a week or so about scheduling.

I've noticed that at times today, I have felt rather sad. What's that all about???

I am so excited for you!!!!  Maybe the reality of being approved has not sunk in yet????  Keep your head up and know that we are all in your corner!!!!

You've put so much time and effort into getting this surgery approved that it almost feels like a let down. It's normal. Now what? Keep educating yourself about what you'll need to do after surgery to have a healthier life. Learn every little but that you can. You've always been a part of the OH family - glad you've recognized it. Can't wait to hear when you get your date.

I think I've just been in shock because I waited so long. I wish there was a faster process for all of this! Maybe in years to come they can streamline it so people won't have to wait so long!

I excited for you.  I remember feeling the same way.  I kept thinking that the insurance company had made a mistake.  But then it sank in.  Happy, Happy, Joy,Joy,

Now you can start really preparing yourself mentally and physically.  Good luck and you are in my prayers.

Thanks so much Deborah. I'm hearing that alot of people felt sad. Now I know I'm not just crazy lol. I'm sure I will go thru many many emotions during this journey. I'm so happy I have this forum to ride with me!
