Anyone know what this means?
Hi all - I'm slowly getting closer to having a new bariatric Dr. YEAH!!! I have all my paperwork that I'm faxing on Monday. I hope they'll accept me as a patient soon after that. But, I'm still trying to figure out as much as I can on my own -- since I'm still in pain, and quite frankly tired of it.
Although my Drs have told me that all my tests are normal,- I see this on the report for the Upper GI, and really wish I had a translator to put it in English for me.
*** On Upper GI - "mildly dilated small bowel in the proximal jejunum that I could not compress". When correlating with CT scan performed, there was some mildly dilated small bowl with some adjacent sutures from probable anastomosis". (Note: CT report does not mention any of this)
Thanks to anyone that speaks "medical" language.

Sounds to me lik he was confirming that you have had RNY. An anastemosis is when a segment of intestine is resected and the two remaining ends are sewn or stapled together (anastomosed), for example Roux-en-Y anastomosis. The procedure is referred to as intestinal anastomosis. (courtesy of wikipedia).
Hi Tamara - thanks for their number. I'm really hoping that they'll see me at Hickory - they seem to be nice there and have returned calls quickly, which is always a plus sign.
I have to fax all of my records to them on Monday. I just got my records on Friday from my original surgeon, so I was held up waiting fo them. Then the doctor is going to review them and let me know if they'll take me on as a patient. I sure hope they do.
Keep your fingers crossed for me.
